2 children killed in crash after father fled from police, 4 others injured: Police

Only a few days before Christmas, two young boys aged 10 tragically lost their lives in Wisconsin. According to police reports, their father dangerously attempted to elude law enforcement during a routine traffic stop, resulting in a devastating crash. Additionally, four other individuals were left injured and are currently receiving medical attention.

The crash occurred in Del afield, approximately 25 miles west of Milwaukee, just north of Interstate 94, according to the report from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department.

According to a spokesperson from the sheriff’s office, deputies made an attempt to pull over a vehicle in Peaked just before midnight on Wednesday due to the driver’s speeding and the absence of a license plate on the car.

Two children lost their lives in a tragic accident caused by their father’s hasty escape. The vehicle had initially come to a stop, as reported by the spokesperson, however, before the deputy could approach, the driver swiftly fled at an alarming speed.

High-speed pursuit results in deadly collision

A high-speed police chase unfolded, with authorities reporting that the vehicle reached speeds of up to 95 mph. Eventually, the car vanished from the deputy’s view, only to collide roughly 10 miles westward in Del afield.

Sheriff Eric Severson lamented during a press conference that his deputies were unable to reach the vehicle, thus missing the opportunity to make contact with the driver. He expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of two children as a consequence of a grave error in judgment.

Officials informed local WTMJ-TV that a total of six individuals were present inside the car during the accident. The driver, along with his girlfriend from Milwaukee, both 29 years old, and a 6-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl, were transported to hospitals, where they are currently receiving medical care.

According to the report, the driver sustained injuries that were described as “critical but stable,” while his girlfriend sustained serious injuries. As for the 6-year-old girl and 14-year-old girl, their current condition remains unknown as of Friday.

The police informed WITI-TV that the driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, is wanted for a felony charge of firearm possession. Furthermore, there are other pending charges against him.

The crash under investigation by authorities on Friday also involves the Wisconsin State Patrol troopers.
